Five winners lead Maine South at own invite

The Maine South boys swimming team won five races en route to a third-place finish at the 34th annual Maine South Hawk Relays Saturday.
The Hawks (154 points) finished behind Sandburg (188) and Conant (160) in the six-team field.
Maine South senior Jared DeGrazia, sophomore Michael Zadlo, junior Andrew Salomon and junior Adam Wojciechowski (1 minute, 47.15 seconds) took home a first-place finish in the 200-yard backstroke relay.
The same quartet of Hawks also won the 850 freestyle relay (8:09.74), the 800 free relay (7:42.00) and the 400 free relay (3:22.35).
Seniors Brandon Yagihashi, Kevin Polston, Sean Ryan and junior Tom Graziano (1:36.07) won the 200 free relay.
Yagihashi, Ryan , junior Jon Prinz and junior Mike Oulvey (1:53.23) placed third in the 200 medley relay. Graziano, Polston, Oulvey and Yagihashi (1:50.97) placed third in the 200 butterfly relay.
Ryan, freshman Matt Kramer, junior Kevin Morrisroe and sophomore Luke Kapolnek (3:21.27) finished third in the all-class 400 free relay.
Graziano, Ryan, Oulvey and San Gabino (4:28.61) placed third in the 400 individual medley relay.
Yagihashi, Polston, Prinz and Oulvey (4:17.64) finished third in the 400 medley relay.
