Buffalo Wild Wings Athletes of the Week named for September 23-28

The CSLinsider.com Athletes of the Week, presented by Buffalo Wild Wings, have been named for September 23-28.
Deerfield – Ian Kelsey (boys golf):
Kelsey earned medalist honors with a 1-over par 37 to help the Warriors defeat Niles West 156-163 in a CSL crossover dual meet.
Evanston – Honore Collins (girls swimming):
Collins won the 200-yard freestyle (1 minute, 59.07 seconds) and the 100 breaststroke (1:11.50) and helped the Wildkits defeat Highland Park 138-48 in a CSL crossover dual meet.
Glenbrook North – Seth Gilford (boys soccer):
Gilford scored a pair of goals to help the Spartans pick up their first CSL North victory with a 3-1 over Deerfield.
Glenbrook South – Izzy Rapacz (girls volleyball):
The Titans’ senior outside hitter put down a team-high 12 kills to pace GBS past previously undefeated New Trier 27-25, 15-25, 25-20 in a big CSL South match.
Highland Park – Tony Barrios (boys soccer):
The junior gave the Giants a dramatic 2-1 victory over previously undefeated in CSL North Niles North with a goal with 36.2 seconds left.
Maine East – Sandra Kietlinksa (girls swimming):
Kietlinksa raced to first place finishes in the 200 free (2:14.53) and 500 free (6:12.80), and was part of the first place 200 medley relay team (2:08.60) and 400 free relay (4:21.21) in a 58-36 dual meet win over Waukegan in a CSL crossover.
Maine South – Katherine Miles (girls volleyball):
Miles delivered a game-high 13 kills in a big 25-23, 14-25, 25-20 CSL South win over Evanston.
Maine West – Miguel Lopez (boys soccer):
Lopez scored both of his goals in the second half to break a halftime tie against CSL North foe Glenbrook North, and helped the Warriors come away with a 4-2 victory and stay alive in the conference title race.
New Trier – Tess Lubin (girls tennis):
Lubin captured the No. 2 singles championship at the Prospect invitational with a 7-6 (6), 6-0 victory over Stevenson’s Vinaya Rao.
Niles North – Noah Swanson (football):
The defensive lineman seized a rare chance to score a touchdown by intercepting a pass for a TD, and gave the Vikings a commanding 29-20 lead over Maine West with just under seven minutes left in the game. The Vikings hung on for the 29-27 win in a CSL North game.
Niles West – Nate Lee (boys golf):
The senior was the medalist in a CSL South dual meet against Glenbrook South at Willow Hill with a 2-under par 33.
Waukegan – Katy Flesher (girls swimming):
Flesher raced to first place in the 100 butterfly (1:14.80), and second in the 100 breaststroke (1:26.62). She was also part of the second place 200 medley relay and 400 free relay in a CSL crossover dual meet against Maine East.
